There’s a stranger in my dreams at night,
a faceless silhouette,
a blood stained sight,
my soul losing this worldly fight,
as I lie forsaken, eternally, in your gleaming pool of starlight.
I see skies covered in reflective glass,
through the hazy air from burning grass,
in the blurry smoke of colitas;
I leave behind a broken past.
You fill me up with your gloomy eyes
and make me live your life of lies.
They think I’m fazed but I don’t care,
I’ve left my heart in your lifeless stare.
Walking away from this world,
I hear my soul sing,
giving me the knowledge to keep fighting;
“Through moonlit skies I shall rise, As you sleep under the starlight, I shall be the dream in your eyes and as the morning dawns and the sun shines, With your dream I shall die, With the end of your reality, I shall spread my wings and fly”
