As I lay dying

Purple craze,
a blurry haze,
yellow lamp in my room.

Black velvet,
wrapped around,
our bodies entwined in gloom.

Greenish hue,
in her eyes,
as she stares into mine tonight.

My brown irises,
confused and dazed,
as I lie holding her tight.

Dreams of mornings,
whence she’s gone,
with my heart ‘neath her feet.

Scarlet streams,
of crimson blood,
from my brain slowly seep.

Bluish skies,
of dawn that spreads,
the sweet smell of grey.

Lingering thoughts,
in lurid slumber,
drift off in to the shade.

As I lay dying.
