Cirrus moon

Cirrus in the sky,
screening the moon;
Her halo spilling out of its cracks.

Dancing and prancing,
with the stars of reflection;
Through brown in a haze of black

While she shines
in the sky,
the mistress of light;

She gives me,
her longing,
on this dark lonely night

Silent and calm,
Scarred-
-maiden of sin;

Watches
the turmoil
on her polygamic twin.

Careless
and free,
cursed woman in white;

Listening
to her brute
sing out of sight.

And she listens
to his stories ,
waiting in pain;

As I bathe
in her rapture
wishing for rain.
