Do you remember day?
you raced and finished first.
Do you remember the raindrop?
the first to quench your thirst.
Do you remember the night?
you first went to bed.
Do you remember the time?
you first fell and bled.
Do you remember the dawn?
you first walked into school.
Do you remember the feeling?
you first felt like a fool.
Do you remember the eve?
you first experienced fear.
Do you remember the blur?
when you first shed a tear.
Do you remember the stars?
the night you first loved
Do you remember the hand?
That fitted yours like a glove.
Do you remember the moment?
of the first time had sex.
Do you remember the song?
the first you heard on cassette.
Do you remember the sound?
of the first note you played.
Do you remember the words?
that first helped you get laid.
Do you remember Cheshire?
the first you gazed upon.
What memories are these?
that are now long gone.
Forgotten now,
lost in the tranquility,
that past was never mine to hold on to,
never mine to remember.
I leave this one incomplete,
for there is a lot more,
that is yet to be forgotten.
