I walk,
I sit,
I play games in my mind;
I’ve never taken time
to read to the blind.
I eat,
I write,
I run naked on the street;
I’ve never taken time
to feed the hungry in need.
I sleep,
I drink,
I fornicate;
I’ve never taken time
to fight against hate.
I love,
I lie,
I drive around in a car;
I’ve never taken time
to stop a bloody war.
I listen to music,
even play a little,
I’m the one who stares back,
from your mirror, brittle.
We are the same, you and I.
